I checked out the Insight last year, and I wasn’t impressed. Maybe I’m just forever altered from owning a hatchback, but the trunk opening just seemed so small! I can’t believe they just didn’t make it a sportback like the A5 or Regal
Appreciate the acknowledgment of climate change. I really think there are a lot more automotive enthusiasts than you’d think who understand and are worried about climate change!
Climate change is the biggest scam in American science, but it’s wormed its way into cultural orthodoxy so we’re stuck with it. I’ll take your apology in twenty years when the temperature hasn’t budged, the ice caps are still there, and Al Gore’s seaside mansion is still above water. Computer models from paid government scientists ain’t science.
Tom, ‘Payback’ time may vary but an 18 mpg (50%) bump is a really big deal in a commuter car. With a typical Toyota lifespan of 15-20 years, the fuel savings amounts to the volume of several swimming pools of gasoline NEVER being burned. Please note Android Auto is standard on the 2021 models. Lastly, did anyone else spot the aquamarine house at 1:14 ?
Extraordinary ..all around goodness! Great car best in class i d say!
Nice work, Tom! Thanks for your review!
Another TV video with a genuine laugh out loud moment! “If I’m sick or dead you don’t get car reviews” 😂😂
not sure what the relationship is between contracting COVID and doing the toilet paper test

The green light, yellow light, and red light reminds me of Motorweek’s Hits and Misses they used to do.
The car made for Uber/Lyft
and drivers ed
@Joe Spittle a bit small as taxi
Hybrids don’t last hundreds of thousands of miles

Idiot. Global warming is a total con. Learn to read.

I would rather buy a gently used Camry hybrid
I love your outfit in all of your reviews. It makes you look so young forever. You’re timeless.
This is amazing for a daily commute. 52mpg with 1.8L is not bad at all. I’m sure it handles Seattle hills without loss of power.
That Corolla is going to be like the early 90s camrys that haven’t died, and are still on the road today.
That is very likely.
why ?
I dont think so, unless its gas engine. hybrid batteries will die after 10 years or so probably
Toyota’s are reliable, long lasting cars.

i had a corolla in the 80s as a taxi. love them.
Atrocious sound quality out of the Prius Prime’s stereo too.
We need the hybrid wagon in the US.
Desperately!!
Noone would buy it lol
NO HEATED SEATS IN 2020? I cry in my Prius I with no heated seats
Great presentation, well organized and paced. Very easy to follow along.
I have one and average 66 mpg with out even trying!
The “B” setting is for engine breaking, nothing to do with charging. It’s like downshifting a traditional transmission.
52MPG is very impressive – the guy driving looks like he can drive it with his knees –
