@RyTrapp0 any time you are trying to squeeze that much power of out such a tiny engine, you need some serious boost. And those engines have not been around long enough to be ‘proven’. Its a big gamble on Ford’s part.
Before you complain this isn’t a “real” Bronco, remember that not everyone wants the big full-size Bronco with removable everything and a much higher price tag. Think of this as a far more capable, better-looking alternative to boring bland crossovers and you’ll have a better perspective on it.
@Jakob Holgersson except the Badlands version of the Bronco Sport is actually a pretty solid off-roader. Especially if you have a lift and even chunkier tires
@Adobe After Effects Projects Yeah… it’s kind of brilliant. I’m not always impressed with Dougs mechanical knowledge but when it comes to cars and YouTube the man knows what he is doing.
@jayjaylenchase75 really? I got a set sitting in the corner of my shop. I might be getting a 83 gt and that will be the home of the 10 holes along with some 275’s to make it look mean
I wouldn’t call them a deal breaker, but when they look stuttery as hell on a youtube video, you know they are only going to be worse in real life. I don’t understand why so many cars that cost 10’s of thousands of dollars feel like their infotainment systems are using the same cpu from a 2005 Motorola Razr.
They’re almost certainly hiding a slow boot-up time of the infotainment system. Considering we’re now in the age of non-volatile storage, that’s an incredibly slow boot. Also noticed while he was describing the screen as responsive, he clicked on navigation multiple times before it finally showed up.
@andrew J For example in cars that I have used, I had a limited edition ford excursion, a mid range 2004 f150, a 2000 dodge ram 1500 base model, and a 2012 Nissan Altima base model. The Nissan and dodge, both being base models, used very hard plastic that scratched easily and rattled with my music. The f150 and excursion were both higher trim levels and used softer plastic that didn’t rattle and felt way nicer to the touch.
Exactly what I thought. The other day I was looking at the old Ford escape (surprised it was still on the road) and thought that it looked exactly like the bronco sport.
They should’ve called it the COLT. I would love to see the enthusiasts reaction to that!
Should’ve called it The soccer mom bronco
Bronco Ii
Colt was a marginal Dodge product.
@Hyperion031 Bingo.
@Zach Grigg International has the scout name
They’re gonna sell so many Broncos and Bronco Sports. Chevy missed an opportunity with the Blazer. Would’ve loved to seen that rivalry.
@Jason Radice agreed. Jeep just dropped a V8 wrangler. Ford will follow suit. Guarenteed.
@Jason Radice Please, don’t be ridiculous – the 2.3l turbo and 2.7l turbo have already been proven. Losing ring seal? It isn’t 1970 lmao
@RyTrapp0 any time you are trying to squeeze that much power of out such a tiny engine, you need some serious boost. And those engines have not been around long enough to be ‘proven’. Its a big gamble on Ford’s part.
@Ian Kitterman they brought back the trailblazer in the us but guess what? It’s a subcompact crossover that’s like a Kia soul with no off-road dna
They’re doing fine with those two anyway
Before you complain this isn’t a “real” Bronco, remember that not everyone wants the big full-size Bronco with removable everything and a much higher price tag. Think of this as a far more capable, better-looking alternative to boring bland crossovers and you’ll have a better perspective on it.
Doug please review a Maruti Suzuki 800 car. You will be amazed to review it
@Aditya Agarwal 😂 😂
@Jakob Holgersson except the Badlands version of the Bronco Sport is actually a pretty solid off-roader. Especially if you have a lift and even chunkier tires
I feel like Doug should buy the bronco sport
This is more of a Bronco than the Mach-E is a Mustang
Both a pretty cool
At this point, the Cars and Bids marketing just a “sneak-peek” into the upcoming vids for us
@Adobe After Effects Projects Yeah… it’s kind of brilliant. I’m not always impressed with Dougs mechanical knowledge but when it comes to cars and YouTube the man knows what he is doing.

Actually they’re incredibly interesting videos all on their own.
American car industry is going backwards in time with design. Well, I’m waiting for the 1959 Cadillac Eldorado revival! 🧐
Shubham A Car architect and its philosophy still gets what there paid.
Christian Larson Well we have to think of materials in those days would take way much more resources and the money.

@boo boo this is the bland boring bronco who tf would even buy this compared to the actual bronco??
Those wheels look like a throwback to the fox body 10 holes from the 80’s

Ha, my husband does the same thing! lol
I wish they called this model the Bronco II for throwback purposes.
Bronco II was… tipsy. Also, I think Ford is going for a Bronco sub brand; a more successful version of Merkür.
I’ll be the Bronco II in our hearts

That start-up graphic would be so annoying. I hope they give you the option to turn it off.

The start up time on that infotainment system is a sure sign that it is made by the lowest bidder

If this thing is going to be the “Badlands” trim, then I’m expecting to see a lot of beverages to chug and boot glasses.
haha

First impression: Cool car, but the animations could be a real deal breaker.

The good old “we have Broncos at home” edition.

Doug Trapp – I don’t have a beer all the time, but when I do I uncap a bottle on somebody’s Lambo…
Regular car: is covered on this cheap ugly plastic
Off-roader: it has this very durable rubbery material engineered for durability

@mulletman65 that it looks similar
Exactly what I thought. The other day I was looking at the old Ford escape (surprised it was still on the road) and thought that it looked exactly like the bronco sport.
