Thank you guys. Today we are talking everything: trucks, cars, suvs, motorcycles, snowmobiles and scooters, no mostly just uh jeeps and chevys, just jeeps and chevys well: that's, because it's a tflbids.com show that's right, although we did have a little bit of a mishap this week and big technical bug on Our site – and that meant that the clock was a little bit out of sync, so we've decided to extend the current tfl bids auctions one more day, just to make them super fair for everybody involved. So we're going to answer your questions in the comments below talk about cars, talk about trucks, um and anything that y'all want to discuss, so andre what's been going on today at the office well, i'm, looking at the tfl bit side specifically and i'm, sad! Okay, why are you saying? Because the chevy that i drove in the video series is for sale, that's right? Yes, so it's, my dear chevy ending this week, we have a 67 chevrolet c10 up on the site, a 61 chevrolet apache 10, which is really cool um and a 2015 jeep wrangler, unlimited rubicon with an ursa miner camper and the jeep has met its reserve. So it's going to sell absolutely sure tomorrow, it's going to sell for sure it's got a really cool kind of westphalia, like uh pop up camper it's, a rubicon um super neat little build and then next week we've got your chevy yeah. The 1998 k 1500 four wheel, drive chevy truck, which is in our no payment needed to hell and back series.
Um it's, a movie star truck so uh yeah. It has to go. I wanted to keep it but roman said no exactly yeah and if you want to check out the auction site it's www.tflbids.com, can you comment that in the comment section just so, people can just link it? That would be easy and you can check out some of the cool vehicles and if you want to auction your own vehicle, tfl bids is a fun place. We do these live shows. We engage with the community yeah. You can submit your video of the truck or suv right. Tell us about it. Um, you know we'll organize the sale. All the all that stuff chase is with us today, hey chase how's it going buddy dan atkinson is with us. You know chase just moved to or is moving to the high country. I do not know that yeah he is he's, doing some really fun stuff. Some really cool builds actually he's going to be working on some cool off road builds well chase. I want to see some of your builds and also, if you see some prototypes, give us a video, absolutely yeah daniel says: hey there, my first time here can i ask a question: you absolutely may um and we're just going to get right into it, so andre What'S been going on this week at the fastlane studios: well yeah! So this weekend we had a couple of terra tacoma videos that we published on tfl offroad and tfl truck yep.
That was pretty cool uh this week, it's just non stop downpour of i mean i'm talking about the weather. The weather has been terrible, no, but we're we're, actually preparing for a lot of cool truck stuff coming up soon, we're going to have a couple more toyotas. This week and then next week, just a plethora of new ram and ford and gm trucks, yeah it's really exciting. I think we also have the tacoma um trail edition and the forerunner trail. So these are the affordable way to get out onto the trail and have some fun, which is pretty cool um. So that will be really fun i'm excited to see that at the office this week, we've got the mercedes gla and the toyota supra bright, yellow, supra dude. I love the new super hat. Yes, yes, it's, really cool it's, a really fun car um. What else have we got going on? I'Ve been a little bit of a loop, so well you published something really really unique on tfl classics. It was a dually nissan hardbody. Yes, so i never would have thought. I would see this a viewer of ours sent in this conversion of a little nissan pickup truck the ones from like the 80s 90s hard body, and he did a really kind of interesting conversion to a dual rear, wheel, setup that looks really factory and super cool. So check out tfl classics for that. Um we've got more disaster videos around our 87 porsche project, yes, which has been a real mess um and then coming up soon.
We also have this hell and back series where we take three cheap trucks, driving to moab and return with two and a half two and a half trucks, but still kind of somehow making it and, of course, that chevy. I was talking about that ending next week. That auction is part of that series. All trucks were under five thousand dollars, uh purchase price, and we had. We worked with realtruck.com on that series and we upgraded them and you guys know uh. You probably have seen them on some other channels already, but they're going to be on tfl trucks, starting this sunday. With the first episode, we have a few questions right coming up. Yes, so daniel's wondering what is your thoughts on the new 2022 honda civic? Well, so the styling is a little conservative. I thought i thought they could do a little bit more, but you may know more about this than me um. I think it is a nice looking redesign. I think the old one was kind of more angular and aggressive. The new one they just kind of smeared softness on moved it out yeah like a little buttered it up a little bit, but i think it looks pretty good. I, like the previous angular one you like the older one, more okay, yeah that's, where i was uh. What'S up with the 21 f 150 trimmer yeah. What is up with that? Where is the pen jason, is asking in this question, so they announced it a while ago – and recently i think, late last week, like friday, some pricing lists leaked.
Apparently so we we were able to see some from some of the dealerships, some of the options and pricing and the new tremor f 150 it's going to be a direct competitor to the truck like the ram rebel, the t, the trail boss from chevy yep, so Trucks like that, crd pro from toyota, etc and it's coming so i emailed ford and i said uh guys: can we order the tremor now? Does this mean? Does this mean people start ordering and configuring them they said well. All we can tell you now is going to be available for sale this summer. Oh so, it's not quite ready yet for order. I really hope it was, and as soon as it is, it will be on tfltruck.com we'll show you all the configurator options and everything you can do it's supposed to start at about 50 grand. This is unofficial, interesting, yeah, very cool. Okay, so joey asked a question: when are you going to buy a jeep? That is funny. You asked that i just ordered one. Actually, it hasn't been announced yet, but i just ordered my first ever new car purchase so i'm waiting for that to come in um. It is one of the cheapest wranglers you can buy, because my my budget is small, so it's got no power. Anything but we'll have more on that coming soon, you'll see which configuration i end up with. How soon can you do you think you can swing this? I wish they'd build it tomorrow.
That would be awesome, so you would prefer it tomorrow, but there may be like a little bit of a difference because you couldn't find it on the deal a lot right yeah. So i wanted like the well. I guess we're just going to talk about it. I wanted the cheapest wrangler, you could buy um and i i i looked everywhere, especially in colorado, and i just couldn't find one. I wanted a wrangler with air conditioning and nothing else, um, because all the ones we usually test are 50 55, 60 yeah huge prices, um, and i just i could never afford that. So i was looking at like the the sport wrangler and i couldn't find one in anywhere that had no options. So i went to johnson's autoplasm and i said i'd like to order one. He said that's great, so i ordered a base model. Uh jeep with the willys package: okay, but no power windows, no power door, locks, um, no power mirrors, no uconnect, nothing. I mean this is like a bean. Can? How are you going to connect to it if there is no economic, exactly i'm, hoping remember that whole issue with the chip shortage? I got no chips in this jeep. Oh there's, there's, no adaptive cruise control, i'm gon na be surprised if it's a bear. How are you gon na play music using cove speakers or something we could use co speakers or maybe i'll hire my friend who's a trumpet player and i'll? Just stick him in the trunk and nice yeah, no it's going to be great i'm really excited, but i don't know when it's going to show up i'm hoping soon.
So i will keep you up on the loop with that. So chase says i have to have you guys at the shop in frisco to check it out absolutely dj underwood says i would really like your thoughts on a jeep wrangler versus a toyota fj. Well, the fj is no longer on sale in the us, but i know it's on sale in other markets around the world. You know fj. I just drove it recently for our series car versus truck yep uh in moab. We did that a couple months ago and i thought the fj was really interesting. It was it's, just you know, it's a little bit claustrophobic in there, but if you're looking forward at the obstacles you're driving over it's okay, if you're trying to look to the side or the back the view, the view out of it is very limited. But it was very capable that's amazing. I love the fj cruiser it's, one of my all time, favorite cars – i didn't like it until i drove it, but it's kind of like a more exciting 4runner. You know my son is 10 years old yeah and he loves the fj cruiser every time he sees it on the highway he's like fj cruiser fj cruiser, because it looks like a toy yeah right, it's, really cool. They are really expensive, though yeah still like really expensive, like we, we still have ours, we paid 33 000 for it last year, yeah yeah, so it's it's got it's a 2014 and, like i saw one um sell for, i think 40 or 50 thousand dollars recently.
Uh and the trails teams, if they're super low mileage can be more than they were brand new, so they're really desirable. The fj cruisers um, so let's keep cranking here jean says andre should play the accordion in the back seat in your jeep there. You go well i'm, not a very good accordion player, but i don't think i can actually fit in your back seat with my accordion. You know my dad used to know how to play accordion no way he did so chuck says what are your thoughts on a 1999 toyota foreigner for going on the moab trails, um it's, awesome, yeah, great third gen: four owners are killer, yeah they'll do so much Stock, even before you lift them and put on big tires, and if you can get one with the factory rear locker, it will go everywhere. I had the buddy mat that we used to do videos with um. He had one with a locker and he would just show up all of our jeeps and it was very, very embarrassing with my lifted jeep, but his exploded. His engine threw a rod at the side of the block. Was he like upside down, or i mean going up this incline? Well, he was on the highway. Oh, so i don't think it was off road related, oh okay! Well, anyway, these older forerunners are actually probably hard to find. Now for cheap i mean they're still holding their value and some of them are probably modded, so it's probably hard to find one like stock yeah, very hard yeah, exactly cb says for us: don't live near tfl hq.
Can you recommend the shipper if we want to uh if we want to own an auction vehicle so yeah? If you, if you want some more information and you're looking at buying, we get a hold of us and we can point you in some right directions: it's important to note. We don't actually own the vehicles, we're selling for the most part. So we are, we do own that yeah, the 1500 we're selling uh the the 98, but but um other vehicles are are owned by i owned by other people. Yeah and you guys can sell them exactly. Anybody can sell one yeah we don't have like we don't work with an exclusive shipping company, no uh, so it just depends. We can, you know, help you finding a dispatcher and organizing that and it's more up to it's up to the the buyer and the seller to arrange shipping um, so braden says how's it going from canada, nice to uh, see braden and gene says how about a Two wheel drive truck challenge, 80s truck four cylinder engine manual, transmission track and race them. I think one of those 80s trucks and good conditions would now be 40 thousand dollars, given the used market um uh yeah, so i don't know about two wheel drive because it could limit what we could do with them. You know the places we can take with them, but we are considering another series with maybe a mid sized truck segment.
Yes yeah. If, if we are very successful with this um, no payment needed series, which i think we will be um, then we can continue that down the line. I think you're right, no exactly that's a great point. If you guys had the chance for the money which chevy would you buy the 61 or the 67? So if you uh can open a new tab or or check out tml biz right now, we've got a 67 c10 that's on the auction site right now and a 61 apache 10. uh, which one do you like more the older or the newer chevy classic truck. So if we're talking about 60s versus uh well 61 versus later 67, i prefer the 67 actually and well let's talk about the c10. Just a second um it's got a longer bed and it's set up. You know it's kind of low to the ground. It was also set up partially to carry a motorcycle. Oh okay, so it's pretty easy to load something in the back of it. Interesting it's got a 350 v8. How cool is that i mean it's very, very classic uh, classic gm and it's in great condition, and i really love the red color in the interior, so i'm leaning towards the c10. I would do i would do the 61. I think that the early 60s chevy trucks, and especially in the 50s, were really good looking and this one has a 235 straight six, which is a just a an old umbrella yeah of times gone by, and i like the gold, i mean it's, not to everyone's Taste, but this kind of bronzy gold color, is super cool, it's, a really really nice color.
So i that would be my choice, yeah and once again, these auctions, the ones we just talked about – and tomorrow yep uh huh. So we also the 2015 wrangler yeah. So there was a bug we found in the site that was kind of creating some timing issues, so we decided to make a fair we'd, extend it one more day so check in tomorrow to see what those vehicles sell for yeah and by the way, the jeep. Like you said it does have a camping solution. It'S got it has a lift it's a 2015 rubicon with a couple of upgrades and there's. Also a video from the owner showing you uh the jeep and its condition yeah, and you know it is going for. Forty thousand two hundred bucks right now yeah, but the the this car, i think the equipment, especially the tent system and everything, is included in it very high quality. So i think it's actually a good price there. I can't imagine how much the camper was new, but these like it's, really neat because it's not just a rooftop tent it's, more integrated into the actual top itself. It really is like an old school westphalia volkswagen, but it's got four wheel, drive and lockers and it's a 15. So it's got the 3.6 pentastar, which is a good, solid engine. I think that's, a really cool, looking little listing so dan says any chance. Eval bids will expand to reach all categories bike classic cars, probably not.
I think we're trying to focus it more on off roaders and trucks because now that's what we understand the best and that's kind of what we know the best so uh that's kind of the current plan, but we'll we'll keep our eyes open, yeah totally sure, and We didn't really plan this, but uh there's, another chevy on sale, which is ending a week from today, yeah and it's a 58, and actually this 58 looks very, very good. I don't know if it's, because it's red andre likes red yeah, i guess you know i painted the tow hooks on the 98 track red yeah exactly, but this uh, this 58 dude, this apache that's on sale right now, that's that's, also very, very cool. It looks like a toy it's, really cool, uh, andre tommy. Why doesn't tfl use a super duty dually as a yearly review video? It seems you only use gas single rear wheels. You mean long term, yeah, probably long term yeah. So so, first of all for us to buy a dually truck like that, we could do that. Okay, um right now. There is no budget, because you know we already have several long term vehicles in our fleet, so we can't quite spend another 60 plus thousand dollars on a brand new dually diesel, which is what they go for now. I know so so because you know as soon as you get the diesel engine and the dually, and even if you want to get like an extended cab at least or maybe even a crew cab you're talking about 55 to 60 grand almost with low options right.
Yeah so yeah, i would love that the dually would be really great for our towing reviews, but it would once again limit our possibilities, because a dually is not really a good truck to go off roading in right. So if we wanted to upgrade it somehow, it's really wide, so it won't fit on a lot of trails that we go on so that's kind of why we don't usually get a dually so um. This is an interesting question. Any news from ram and their future mid size truck no, unfortunately, so a hyundai santa cruz truck was just unveiled the baby one. Yes, the little guy for this room with the maverick and i'm we're still looking at ram and gm, and they haven't kind of done anything or said anything about this right, both of them gm and ram, are selling trucks. Small tiny compact pickups all over the world right in other countries, but they're – not here, i think, it's i'm almost i'd, almost be surprised if they built a ground up mid size. So i mean they have the gladiator platform right right, which is an extended wrangler, but i'm. I mean at some point you end up with the issue of like. Are you competing against your own? Your own vehicle? You know, i mean, is it? Would there be a way that they could spin it where the ram is more work oriented and the jeep is more play? What do you think so there's two ways to do it, that ram can do right.
First of all, the jeep gladiator, like you said, is there but it's a lifestyle, vehicle and it's quite expensive right so because it's specialized it's crew cab, only four wheel drive only lots of options, really cool um if they did the ram dakota ish truck. So something like a dakota, maybe something smaller, maybe more compact, like a fiat toro truck, for example, from overseas yeah um. They could price it lower right, so it could be more affordable. They could have more options, maybe longer beds like a compact, like yeah, like this new segment, that's growing, okay. I could see that too. I think that would be true yeah, but for them to do a true, mid sized dakota. I think that would be hard to as a business case. I would agree, um jc says: do you think getting a tremor? Ranger is worth it or just getting the new f 150 with fx4 trimmer ranger or tremor f, 150, so tremor ranger versus fx4, f. 150. Those two different classes – i know, but if you had the like x amount of dollars, 49 000 or whatever, would you get the the tremor ranger or the f 150 fx4? I would go ranger. Why is that? Because ranger tremor specifically way cooler it's got slightly larger. More aggressive tires suspension, lift specially tuned shocks, it's slightly wider there's, a wheel, offset still quite powerful, can toast about 7 500 pounds and it's cool looking and the fx4 f 150 that i just bought actually as a hybrid uh for my truck i'm, a little disappointed.
It'S a great truck overall, but the tires are a little small, a little bit, not aggressive enough. Okay and i need to upgrade my tires. So i would go ranger interesting um, so uh ron says: tommy no options, no headaches very true. Um lockers before light bars, newbies. Remember that how did you guys meet roman and andre, and why did you want to start working well, that's, a cool question, um so really funny. So my parents uh still live in boulder and roman and you uh used to live and my parents used to live in the same neighborhood, yeah um right here in north boulder uh and my old boss from my previous job. I was a software engineer: working at oracle, um was roman's neighbor across the street across the street yeah. His name is ty and ty. Calls me up. This was like nine or ten years ago, he's, like you know my neighbor across the street um doing something strange. He'S reviewing a car in his driveway with a video camera. Do you want to meet him i'm, like yeah, because he knew i kind of liked trucks and cars yeah that's, how i met roman through my old boss, that's too funny yeah and i started kind of working on the website a little bit. I met you later and then well the rest of history. I just kind of switched and when he first started he was a russian mechanic. I spoke no english um.
He was a bit of a character. If you remember those videos, you are a true tfl fan. Uh joey says: did you order a bronco it's it's a story for another day but um? Hopefully we will have a broncos soon we're trying we're we're working on one so uh. Hopefully, we will have our hands on a launch edition that we can do some videos with which would be fun mike drew has an interesting question. He says what will be the first ev track on dealer. Lots i think it's going to be the f 150. Oh believe it or not. No, i really do i really do. I think these the start up. Companies are really working hard, but um ford is so competitive and i think they're gon na they're gon na be the ones swinging out of the gate first and hard. So here's what happened right two and a half years ago or almost reavian came out right as a company and they announced that they're building a pickup truck and an suv and they're going to be all electric and they announced the date. And a kind of you know estimated date right yep. It was at the end of 2020. This was before covet, of course, and i think everybody else said. Aha, we can do that too. Right. Tesla said: yes same date, right lordstown, everybody came out right. All these companies came out immediately and they said yes, we can do that also, and none of them have delivered.
Well, i mean rivian has just kept pushing the date back and back um and i got ta say i think the truck looks cool, but i think it's starting to look a little dated i've seen it so many times now in pictures and and press and it's Been around for for a number of of um, i think years now right, yeah they debuted years ago, and i just i think it uh i don't know i i have more faith that established manufacturer will be the first to the gate, so yeah we'll see i'm Kind of i don't think so i think riven will still be first. You really think so, but it's going to be very, very interesting because they promised june. Where are you going to buy one? How is that going to work? I have no idea, but but eventually it's some lot, there'll be a rivien. I think they're trying to do kind of direct okay sale model kind of like tesla uh. But you know everybody understands how difficult it is to make a vehicle not just design it right and and do all that stuff, but then have a factory that produces it and comply with every regulation that the government puts on you, yeah uh it's, very, very hard. It'S it's hard building cars for sure um. So will there be a future video of the trx and power wagon off road? Hopefully i don't think there's any power wagons in the fleet – um not right now, it'd be fun to do.
I think that would be a really really great one to do. Do you think gm will bring back the regular cab short box on the 22 refresh on the 1500s that's, a question that's been floating around quite a bit. Okay, this truck is on sale right now. In the middle east and some other areas – and i don't know, should they is the question, should they or will they? I don't know if they will, we don't know anything official yet from gm? Should they um, i don't know i think it's kind of a limited market uh. A lot of people i mean cabs – are like 80 of sales right now yeah. So a lot of people really want those bigger trucks. So adam says the 58 is chevy's cooler that's over at tfl bids. He likes the 58s jason says the 67 is cooler. Jackson says: what year is your jeep tommy? My new jeep will be at 21. I think if, if it shows up soon enough, i hope so jean says i like the 61, because it reminds him of travels with charlie. I i think that's cool where's case case is right. Behind the camera case is uh doing logistics right now and he's powering the camera yeah he's like cranking it he's, got like a hand, crank exactly he's loading film in it as we speak, he's really busy, um tommy andre in your opinion, who do you think, makes The best long term pickup truck f, 150 ram or gmc, i need a truck under 70k and it has to be diesel, wait so who makes a more durable diesel truck that's? That appears to be the question.
Oh boy, um, are you talking about heavy duty? I'M? Assuming or a half ton it's a whole it's, a really hard question that's hard to answer, because on the new trucks we don't have a lot of data right right on some of these new engines. I really love the straight six in the chevy half tons. Okay, uh and the v8 from ford. I really love that, but do you like the v6 diesel from ford? No? No! No! So in the halftime segment, my favorite is the straight six. Gm right now and in heavy duty is the v8 from ford, because it's just too powerful and too cool yeah. I agree. What companies would you like to see make a pickup again mitsubishi? They do make a pit so like in australia. You can get the is it the triton. Is that the mitsubishi, i think so yeah it's called the triton? Well, so mazda sells a pickup truck overseas mitsubishi. Does i don't know isuzu does in several markets um so we'll? Would they like to see them here? Yes, how about isuzu the pup you want to bring the pup back. I think that would be pretty fun. Let'S start the hashtag bring the pup back, maybe maybe give it a better name. I think pop is not going to fly in a 2021 for a tough rugged pickup truck uh. Do you guys think it's a mistake how toid is going to discontinue the land cruiser down in the us and canada? Do you think toyota is going to lose some sales well? First of all, they don't sell many.
To begin with, i think 200 series land cruisers sell like 3 000 every year, close to that, yes and it's been pretty consistent since 2008, when they they came out. Um, so i don't think they're they just i don't think they're going to be too upset about it. Lx, however, alexis lx says continuing yeah that's what we've got more units than land cruiser. I am sad that it's going away. No, no, no question right. I think enthusiasts are very sad. Is it a good business decision, probably probably probably a good business decision for toyota but toyota's doing something crazy? First of all, they haven't announced many vehicles officially, yet right, it's, just kind of rumors and information kind of floating around, but the rumors are that the next generation sequoia is within a year now they've invested more money in the indiana plant to build an additional two. Not one but two, three row crossover suvs that are not sequoia and not the highlander it's, probably going to be the grand highlander something bigger than the highlander, and also something called the lexus tx. So this is what you heard. Really yes like floating around yes and i'm, not lying because producer zack can back me up on this back. This is not official from toyota, but this is the thing we've been hearing on the forums and stuff it'll be interesting. To see i mean suvs are so hot: it wouldn't make sense if they're doing a new tundra for them to do in new sequoia right that that makes that makes a lot of sense, um and then it wouldn't make sense to me to discontinue the land cruiser.
But still bring in the lexus lx, which is the same thing, basically more luxurious. Yes, i think i i definitely see that happening as well. By the way the new land cruiser has leaked all over the place. It'S been it's like a faucet. The images of the next 300 series are everywhere: people are now doing renderings with modified land cruisers, so it's it's out there can you guys, get a 2020 rav4 and 2021 uh escape to see which is good. Yes, the rav4 is better. I can tell you that right now, i do not really like the new ford escape. I really like the bronco sport, which is the same platform, but i don't think the new ford escape is all that good. I don't know much about the new escape i'm. Sorry, i haven't driven it much yeah like the old one. Remember the first generation escape was this little square rugged thing yeah that looks like the new bronco yeah, the new bronco sport is just the better version of the first generation ford escape so get the bronco sport, but i would take a pass on the new escape. I heard rumors about plymouth coming back to just make one car ooh. I have not heard anything about that. Well, the kuda rumor has been around a little bit but plymouth. An interesting one. I don't know if they'll name it plymouth but uh right now, because tolantis is um. You know this is the new total company with fca and dodge and everybody else.
We don't we're, not sure what's happening there, um tremor zer uh tremor ranger or zr2 bison diesel diesel diesel zr2 bison. You know i was going to go a regular zr2, so i was thinking about this over the weekend. Actually quite a lot. The zr2 versus the tremor ranger, because they're very close on price they're, both in the mid to low 40 000 range and the zr2 is great. I mean the suspension system on the zr2 is really great, except the v6, with the eight speed and the zr2 uh. The the eight speed has had a few issues with gm, okay, so i'm, not so sure about that eight speed, uh anymore um and uh. The diesel is a little bit underpowered. Although cool underpowered yeah isn't that, like the 370 pound feet of torque, one 369 yeah but it's, not it's, not enough horsepower, 180 186 that's interesting um, greyhawk jl, says tell me when i started watching tfl you're behind the camera and still in school was going into The family business always the plan. No, i really wanted to be a engineer at a car company. That was my all time dream and then i took calculus in high school and that was the end of that dream, so really hated it yeah. I just hate it. If you still want to do it, you want me out here i get enough, no, no! No! No! No! I i! I could take the message.
I didn't mean it like that appreciate it i'm. Just saying i would support your dream: if that's, what you wanted, um all right um, do you notice how some dealerships are low on stock? Yes, we just drove by a local ford dealer and also a chevy dealer on my home, and the lot is almost like. 30, full wow, really yeah, it's, really scary and uh. If i was a dealership right now would be not a happy time. That'S interesting, it's, the shortage right yeah, so so yeah that's, really scary joey says: are you going to buy an old expedition, maybe someday? I think we could do fun offered build. I really want to buy an old sequoia now, because our buddy chase bought one and did it up and it came out really cool jean says andre. Have you thought about writing another book? Maybe one about the guy's favorite, pickup and stories behind them, um wow, so the first book we put a lot of energy into the truck nuts book, which is actually still on amazon. Okay, you can still find it book, make sure you add book truck nuts book book um and it was hard and it was not super successful, and i mean there are multiple factors that go into it. Uh the you know the book. I would love to write. Yeah is more amount than usa, okay, um. I think there were quite a few stories from each state and quite a few.
You know images and information from each state and videos yep that it could be maybe a cool kind of educational book. It doesn't have to be very long. It could also be like a school book almost yeah, so i don't know interesting it's, a big project that's hard to get off the ground, uh where's blaze, our puppy blaze is at home. It'S been raining like crazy here and he doesn't understand the difference between raining and not raining. So he's just been a wet mess. The last couple of days he just he just stands in the rain and just looks at you so there's a couple questions about. Mr truck uh, yes, we've done a few videos with him on tfl classics. Okay, so mr truck has reviewed some of some of our trucks. We'Ve done a talk show together on tfl talk. You could check it out about heavy duty trucks and we'll, be working more together because we're getting heavy duty trucks next week, interesting in may here, so he i know he's done several things on his project vehicles, his jeep uh that he's building up he bought this Monster truck this chevy yeah that's on a six inch, lift um, so yeah he's still he's still here, he's he's about an hour away from us right now. So buddy guys asked. Do you think again, gm's going to make a vehicle to paint with the wrangler and the bronco that's, not a 90 000 hummer? Well, they kind of took the blazer name and did something else with it.
They they took the blazer name. They took the trailblazer name and that did something else with those i really hope um. They could take like the mid sized truck platform and turn it into an suv right gotcha. So, but i don't, we don't have any information about that. So maybe a small hummer. How about that yeah? But that would be like years away: yeah it's, true robert says: what are your using uh? What are you using right now for tire inflation, um we so uh? Typically, we just go to the gas station. We have this gas station that that probably has higher. You could launch a rocket into space with the pressure that comes out of this hose i mean you can fill up a 35 inch tall tire in like nine seconds flat. Normal cars go in there and like they leave with the tires are like way over inflated. So we just use this free gas station because it's right, downtown, a orb makes a really good system very expensive, but it's the best i've used it a bunch and it's really good case van reese. I have a question for tommy. Is one of your shoes? High top and one low yeah tommy, no they're, both high tops case, wears converse because he's a communist or he wears vans. I'M. Sorry there, oh, i did. I wore one of the shoes. No case made a great observation. I wore one low top, copper and one high top today, but but they have the same shoelaces and wow that's too funny.
Okay, i was running out of the house today. What a bummer you saw that here. First, yes, i have a lot of black converse because i like them, but apparently i wore one of one of the wrong ones. Wow too funny um. How did you meet mr truck? I don't remember he just appeared one day. He was like something out of a dr seuss book where you just shut up. You summoned mr truck, and he shows up that's how it works. Yeah. No, there was a local journalist event in denver with the rocky mountain press and roman met. Mr truck first at one of the events i wasn't there, he was the first to summon him. He summoned mr trump cigars and lot lizards and you showed up yes exactly and then they said what about the big trailer and a big truck and boom. It just started there, you go that's. What happened? Yes, um. We got a couple, other questions here, yeah and also next week. I just wanted to give you a preview on tfl bids and we need to wrap up probably yeah pretty soon, although i would rather keep talking for about a couple hours. Okay, also next week, the auction is ending next week is 2001 jeep cherokee xj 4×4 it's a sport model in very good condition. You can check it out right there on tflbids.com, a lot of pictures, also a video from the owner, showing the condition and it's a.
I think it's a really cool little build. You know with an additional rack and some accessories. Do you keep up with the past crew members, chemistry, lady and emmy? Absolutely we see um emmy lot. I still talk to charlotte uh we'll just crank through these. When are you going to david's, you just got back from david's yeah. We just filmed the last episode of no payment needed, uh, cheap truck challenge at david's, and also you might see him tomorrow right with your f 100 project um. Well, we canceled, because it's going to be raining, all it does in colorado is rain. Now it just rains constantly but it's the desert. I know i know it's been just the worst winter here. Okay, so so yeah david is coming back to the channel very soon. Very soon, yep uh we'll finish these last few questions got ta, get supper going. Thank you shade tree for tuning in andre. Now that you have a cdl. What are you going to use it for you're going to review some big rigs? I would love to um. Well, primarily, i got it for the dually trucks right. That was my one of my first goals was to do some dually testing. Okay with you know, gooseneck trailers, because well, first of all, if your trailer is anything over 10 000 gross vehicle weight itself and you're towing it technically, you need the cdl right. So then, but the next step is the gooseneck trailers that have capacities up to.
You know 20 30 plus thousand pounds of. Of course you need the cdl so that's what i primarily got it for, but also there's an event coming up in august on the new medium duty, uh, big trucks, trucks i hope to go to and i can drive them. Yeah yeah, that's, awesome, so um. If you guys want to uh, sell your cool truck suv off roader check out tflbids.com we've got a bunch of cool stuff ending tomorrow. We'Ve got that wrangler and some cool old chevy trucks and the next week we've got a cherokee. Xj that'll be a fun one. As well as my beloved 98 chevrolet k1500 and my beloved you're you're beloved 98k 1500 as well so we're going to be bidding against each other, might we might be bidding against each other on this show wouldn't that be funny um, so stay tuned to tflbids.com? For the latest and greatest in new truck and suv auctions, yes, and thank you for joining and thank you for all the questions i'm going to go fix my shoes.
