2021 Hyundai Palisade: Everything we know so far
Suv said the touchdown here in the fourth quarter of this year, but first we've got this left hand, drive version at our disposal here in Sydney, which means we can crawl all over it and tell you exactly what to expect when our cars to arrive. So without further ado, let's get into it, but first make sure you hit subscribe to stay on top of all of our latest videos and scoot on over to cars, guide.com video to get your news and reviews fix. Remember we probably driven your next new car. So why not go check out what we thought of it? Australia will get the full suite of palisade drivetrain options, which includes its 3.8 liter v6 good for 217 kilowatts and 355 Newton meters, as well as a 2.2 litre diesel that fires out 147 kilowatts and 440 Newton meters, both appeared with the torque converter automatic and the Petrol cars are two wheel drive while the diesel vehicles get four wheel drive. It also boasts Hyundai's, newest safety tech, which will include six airbags play and a safety sense. Suite of equipment AAB with pedestrian detection blind spot monitoring. Lane keep assist with Lane following Assist, rear occupied alert, rear cross traffic alert with AE be safe exit assist. The list goes on and on now usually we'd start this from the front seat. But an SUV like this deserves a special third row mention this thing is 21 centimetres longer, as well as wider and taller than the sin of faith, which means it's a comfortable 8 seater as standard now I'm.
A hundred and seventy five centimetres and actually I've got no came out of room back here, plus the second and third row recline. So you can create more space if you want to now elsewhere, back here, there's four cup holders that makes up just a small part of the 16 total in this car there's. Also two USB ports there's another five in the rest of the cabin and equally important, there's third row, airbags that come all the way back to the rear row, which is something even the standard, fake, can't claim, there's. Also, three isofix attachment points and top tether points. One of which is in the third row tour in the middle row at almost 5 metres long. This thing is a sizable unit. In fact, the 311 liters of Lighting's face you get to the third rolling place is around 2.5 times more than you get in the Santa faith with the third row, folded flat that number swells to 704 liters and now, while handy is quick to point out that This isn't intended as a rugged off roader, something with low range, for example, it will tow around 2300 kilograms break so to the front of the cabin it's, a nicely premium, filling space, that's, heated and ventilated seats in the first and second row. The selectors now shifts by wire the center screen is 10.25 inches and there's. A 7 inch display in the driver's been equal to there's. Also, some clever new, taking the palisade as well.
One of them is a quiet load which cuts the speakers to the second and third row of the kids are sleeping, but also a driver, torque mode, which is the bluetooth microphone to transmit your voice to the third row. So you no longer have to look over your shoulder to yell at the kids and there's no word on pricing. It from hand a, but you know where to find it when they do release it. Just jump over to the car's guide, comdatas you website and make sure you hit subscribe to stay on top of all of our latest videos.
Looks awesome
Within 30 seconds, I heard at least 3 “but first” in the speech. To be sure, to be sure, to be sure?
The Palisade looks ugly from the front, looks OK from the side and back. The interior looks good.
Hopefully this means that Ford will bring back the Explorer to the Aussie market
Or bring the Expedition!
Hopefully not. Surprised Ford is still in business.
Got nothing out of this quick review.
Just sharing the facts as we know them for now. Stand by for the full review ASAP! Cheers, Mal Flynn
😍
Any word on telluride?
Built in the States only a LHD option
Won’t make it here
If nothing else, Palisade will to fill a big showroom gap and get to play with the big SUV buyers’ aspirations. Palisade proves (maybe once & for all) that Hyundai/Kia is here to seek to ultimately reign. No hope of beating ‘snob’ 3 year leasers of largely German makes (as wealth signalling devices) but, as a serious ‘top’ auto maker, Hy/Kia is well on the road, with sights aimed squarely at Toyota. Missing serious ‘Utes’ is ‘must do’, but, that done, this duo will indeed be a hard act to follow.
The Ute will follow in the Santa Cruz, but that will not take on Triton/Ranger/Hilux brigade as it will most likely be a Ute version of the Santa Fe. More suited to the “Suit in a Ute” person. Or mum and the children.
@Peter Paynting agree. the few pics I’ve seen seems to show a ute largely as a fashion statement ie. your ‘Suit in a ute’ theme. thanks for that.
I see there’s a car attached to THAT grill!😱 Sorry, but all I could see was that GATE! 👎🏼
Excellent news, we dodged the Acadia waiting for the new Kluger – and now this is appealing as well.
Wise decision.
Except for that look, Palisade is better than the coming new-gen Kluger in the US.
It’s a better vehicle in comparison to the toyota by American car reviewers though
If it can drive in Australia it can come to Jamaica 🇯🇲
Lol Asi’s think this is big…🤣😂
My hottie mate with well trimmed hair good on you 🙂 p) !
We have had one since January and love it. Biggest complaint from some owners is non-folding side mirrors and no sunglasses holder but even those not that important to me. The front grill I got used to – it’s a great SUV that it equipped like something $5-10k more expensive. Looked at the Telluride but while I liked the Telluride looks slightly better I liked this cabin much better. Overall it’s smoother and more refined (but I’m over 60 and that’s what I was looking for)…
We definitely want something more refined as we age.
It is not 4 wheel drive, it is all wheel drive. Hyundai cannot be locked into 4×4 above about 30km/hr.
This will take sales away from the Santa Fe.
If built in the USA I would expect a few quality issues, otherwise looks nice.
It’s built in South Korea.
Does this mean that the Kia Telluride will also be on the way?
Nope.
its not electric – why bother and it looks ugly
Electric 😂🤣🤣🤣
