However, it is important to note that ground clearance may be an issue for true off-road enthusiasts. With only 205 mm in approach and departure angles of 17.4 and 25.6 degrees respectively, the BZ4X falls slightly short compared to dedicated off-roaders. But let’s not forget that the BZ4X is primarily a road-focused family SUV, and in that context, it performs exceptionally well. For reference, a Subaru Forester manages 230 mm of clearance with approach and departure angles of 20 and 24.6 degrees.

While the BZ4X showcased impressive performance off-road, it was ultimately held back by its road tires. Equipped with 235/50 R20 Dunlop tires, the BZ4X struggled when the suspension bottomed out on bumps.
